The Perfect Setting Tabletop Challenge held annually at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show will be hosted this year by International Crew Training (ICT). The event will take place on Friday October 26th during the day and will be followed by the prize giving reception at 1830 hrs (location to be determined). Yacht Next, the former event organizer will remain involved as a major sponsor and have also agreed to provide one of the judges for the event.
The themes of the event this year will be ‘James Bond’ for the formal setting and ‘Seasons’ for the informal setting. Entries are likely to be limited again this year owing to the overwhelming success of the event and ever increasing standards of entry.
International Crew Training (ICT), who recently assumed IYT Fort Lauderdale’s MCA and STCW training, provide interior training for both entry level and established crew members. From the end of October 2012, ICT will also offer the Professional Yachting Association’s ‘GUEST’ training program for interior crew members, which is likely to become the accepted professional standard for the yachting sector.
