I don’t know about the rest of you but I have enjoyed this weather immensely. It really has been beautiful during the day, and then about quitting time the skies get black, the winds pick up, it gets cool, then the thunder and lightening starts and the onslaught of rain. I was on my way home from work the other day and a friend of mine texts me and says “Batten down the hatches”, I thought what is he talking about? I continue driving and the farther west I get I see what he is talking about. I love storms… sorry. For those of you on boats are probably shaking your head at me now, but as a land lubber, I love sitting on a porch and watching the storm. Our weekend weather will be pretty good. Winds from the east at 5 to 10 knots, and seas 2 to 3 feet, with the intercostal being mostly smooth. We of course have an isolated chance of showers everyday, but that does depend on where you live.
I wish you all could see my office right now. We are enlarging the store office and I have a wall that is torn apart, an electrician on a ladder above me, drywall dust EVERYWHERE, tarps, ladders and if you came in looking for something … well you would have to give me a minute. We will be bringing in another case and the enlarging the office which will allow much more working space for all of us. We have a new employee in the gift shop/marina office. Her name is Whitney, she has adapted really well to all of us and the office situation at the moment. Please make sure you come by and introduce yourself so she can put a face with a name. I went to Okeechobee this last weekend for the first time, and saw the lake. I had never been any farther than the high school for softball games. The lake is beautiful! There was a bass fishing tournament going on and there were hundreds of bass fishing boats and fisherman. I never found out any tournament results, but I know the weather interrupted a lot of fishing time.

Fishing Report from TC Palm:
Jayson Arman of That’s R Man land-based fishing charters out of Billy Bones Bait and Tackle in Port St. Lucie said the snook fishing during the mullet run is really starting to take off. He is getting reports from spillways, bridges and the flats. Try the Live Target Topwater Mullet lure on the flats. At the bridges, use 4- to 5-inch swim baits by Calcutta or Storm, or the Bomber Long A and, at the spillways, match up colors to bluegill or bass.
