The Marine Industries Association of South Florida is pleased to introduce “Family Boating Day”, a new event which will be held on June 16, 2012.
The Bahia Mar Resort and Yachting Center has committed to serve as the host of Family Boating Day; participants will enjoy free dockage, discounted room rates and an awards banquet featuring a BBQ buffet, family entertainment, live music, silent auction and much more…
The Family Boating Day concept was developed by the MIASF Anchor membership with the belief that promoting events, activities and enjoyment on South Florida waters is critical to the continued success of the boating lifestyle so central to our communities and businesses. This will be a family friendly boating event featuring a “Dolphin Rodeo” and “Intracoastal Poker Run” and games for the children in a “company picnic” atmosphere.
The MIASF is a non-profit leadership organization whose mission is to promote and protect the sound growth of the marine industry in South Florida for the benefit and education of its members, the community and the environment. MIASF events are focused on involving and familiarizing the areas youth with the marine industry and the multitude of ways it contributes to our economy and quality of life. In addition, the MIASF has long been recognized as a positive community advocate through our youth scholarships and numerous other community contributions.
