More than 40 guests enjoyed an exclusive private tour of some of Anguilla’s most coveted properties on Saturday March 19th, in an event organised by the Anguilla Sailing Association. The villa tour was created by the ASA as a fundraiser in support of the Anguilla Youth Sailing Club.
Association Board Member Sarah Harrison was the chairperson of the tour, ably assisted by fellow Board Member Fred Porter, and committee member Gayle Enzel.
Guests were taken in buses to a selection of stunning villas located in diverse sections of Anguilla, and were then treated to an elegant afternoon tea at Viceroy Residences Anguilla. During the tea, raffle tickets were drawn by young students from the AYSC sailing school. The first prize of a glorious painting donated by Anguillian artist Lynne Bernbaum was won by Margaret Thomas of Sea Rocks. The second prize of dinner for two at Cap Juluca was won by Sylvia McMeen, and third prize, a manicure and pedicure at the Spa at CuisinArt Hotel, was won by Dr. Rona Hodge.
Gayle Enzel, one of the committee members organising the event, commented “The villas were selected to showcase the many different villa experiences on Anguilla, from the fairytale architecture of ‘La Petite Maison de L’Amour’ in
Elsie Bay to the spectacular 10,000 square foot Ani villa overlooking Little Bay.”
Guests described the event as ‘flawless’ and were delighted with the variety of properties on the tour. Though tour guests included a number of long-term residents of Anguilla, the tour included several hidden pockets of the island that many had never before seen.
The Anguilla Sailing Association would like to thank all those who attended or
supported the event. All the funds raised go directly to expanding the work and
reach of the Anguilla Youth Sailing Club programme. Particular thanks go to
