Dont Miss the 2nd Annual Tortola Surf Classic

After last years success with the 1st Annual Tortola Surf Classic, the 2012 event promises to be bigger and better!
With Billabong sponsoring this year’s event, it will be an exciting day for youth surfers from all over the Caribbean to showcase their talent. There are great prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place for all divisions, including an incredible 2 week Diving and Sailing liveaboard Adventure Camp generously donated by Sea Trek!
Last year over 45 surfers between the ages of 8 and 19 yrs participated in the event which took place at Josiah’s Bay on the North Shore of Tortola. With two local bar/restaurants providing food and drinks, it was a great family day out.
This year the event will be held over Presidents Day weekend Feb 18th & 19th 2012.
Island Surf & Sail, the events organisers, suggest joining the “Tortola Surf Classic” facebook page for the latest updates, photos and news of this event. This page is also an opportunity for people to connect for transport and accommodation help over the 2 day event.
This year will be an exciting two days for the kids with divisions as follows:
- Boys and Girls Groms: 8 – 13yrs
- Boys and Girls Open: 14 – 19yrs
- Longboard Open: 19 & Under
- (Board must be 1' overhead)
