Seventeen boats took part in the 3rd edition of the Saint Anne Regatta, held February 10 & 11. This is the opening regatta for the 2007 Guadeloupe Cruising Championship, and crews set out on the first stage in good weather conditions : sunshine, wind from 15 to 18 knots, a coastal course and a windward/leeward course were the combined ingredients for the weekend.
The three planned stages included a departure on Saturday from the bay at Gosier at 9.30am in the direction of Saint Anne, with a second departure in the afternoon for a windward/leeward series. Two classes were represented: in Racing, Voile 44 took the first leg but lost the 2nd to Gwada Speed Boat, while Paulista won both legs in Racing Cruising.
The windward/leeward on Sunday confirmed the dominance of Paulista, with Feel Good in hot pursuit, as well as the victory of Voile 44 over Gwada Speed Boat. Lacking crew members, EIB-Marina Bas du Fort came in third.
