The 2010 Grenada Classic Yacht Regatta dates have been moved forward to tie in with plans for a Virgin Islands to Grenada Challenge Race, for yachts coming to Grenada to take part.
The four day event will start on Thursday, March 4 with the skippers briefing, yacht registration and cocktail party held at Bel Air Plantation, St. David’s Harbour, followed by three days of racing ending on Sunday March 7.
All courses will be in the waters off the rugged and scenic southeastern coast. The first race will begin and end from St David’s Harbour. On Saturday the race will start in the waters off St. David’s Harbour and end at Le Phare Blue Marina & Resort, where boats can dock for the night. The final race will be to True Blue Bay Resort, where boats can also dock. There will also be water taxi service available.
After racing each day, there will be plenty of time to enjoy that famous Grenadian hospitality with parties, food and drink, along with local and international bands performing reggae to blues. The awards dinner and final party will be at True Blue Bay Resort.
