Voyages South available at Epub bookstores

Free Cruising Guide is pleased to announce the release of the 2nd edition of A Thinking Man’s Guide to Voyages South ~ the Many Facets of Caribbean Cruising by Frank Virgintino. The new edition includes an expanded section on the options to leave the North American Coast as well as additional work in “Quadrant N” and its peculiar characteristics. Many of the figures throughout the book have been enhanced for greater clarity and comprehension. An index as well as an active table of contents are also part of the new edition.

The book has been well received throughout the cruising sector of the pleasure boat community as the definitive guide to a voyage south for its guidance through a new route into the Caribbean and its expanded understanding of cruising opportunities throughout the Caribbean basin. The author has made public appearances on behalf of the book, including at the SSCA Gam in Melbourne, Florida.

Praise for the book has come from all over the US and around the Caribbean, from land and sea; from aboard the S/V Prairie Fox. Rudy Schellingerhout wrote “You made my day! The book is really amazing!! My wife got crazy… because for 8 hours I read without a single break. Great to have some background of that area. We are now with our boat in Aruba. Our next stop is Boca Chica (DR), and from there it’s on to Haiti, Caymans, Jamaica and Cuba, so for the most part you will be our guide.”
